"It meant more than almost anything else we received 'cause it was a special kind of comfort," she said. "The letters let us know that we weren't forgotten."Small projects like these are the projects that can make a difference. I feel that these letters will cause hope for the future in Japan and for the people.

Words of hope for Japan
After the familiar experience of another earthquake and tsunami on March 11, Kathleen Koch launched "Words of Hope for Japan" which was a project to send letters to Japan. Her inspiration came from experiencing Hurricane Katrina and receiving a letter from Guam.
